It is 2017, a brand-new year. What lies ahead for us all? Because we don’t know the future, some prudently purchase insurance on life, auto, accident and health, as well as warranties on items we buy. Ira Stanpill wrote a song revealing how to have insurance for the next life, when we have Christ as our Saviour. His words- “I don’t know about tomorrow; I just live from day to day. I don’t borrow from its sunshine, for its skies may turn to grey. Many things about tomorrow, I don’t seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.” Amos, writing in the Old Testament warned, “prepare to meet your God.” And wise Solomon advised, “Don’t boast about tomorrow, for you know not what a day may bring forth.” On this second day of 2017, please put your hand in the hand of the One who stills the water. He’ll walk with you throughout the year.
