Recently more than 800 Civil-War-era gold coins were dug up in a Kentucky corn field. It is a treasure worth millions of dollars. According to Fox News, experts are calling it one of the greatest finds of the twenty-first century. In the Bible, Jesus shares a story of a man who found a treasure in a field and then went and sold all that he had to buy the field so he could have the treasure. He also gave the teaching behind the story being that the kingdom of heaven is like the treasure found in the field and it is of more value than anything we possess. Jesus also shared the way into the kingdom and to have access to the king. He said in John 14:6 I am the way and the truth and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.
