CTV news reported last month that Lisa Prosser from Ontario was shocked to find out that fines from 20 years ago suddenly tanked her credit score. These fines were provincial and municipal and are not statute-barred which means there is no limit on how long creditors have to pursue collections. In the article it was noted how this type of debt will never go away unless it is dealt with. Did you know the Bible addresses a debt that we all owe and thankfully states a way in which it can be paid. In the Book of Romans it reads, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
