The raging fires across the Los Angeles area last month were devastating. The amount of loss and devastation is still being assessed. These fires spread at a rate of five football fields a minute at one point. The winds fueled the fire creating a worst case scenario and the fired burned beyond control. Did you know the Bible compares a person’s tongue with a small fire that can be extremely destructive and devastating? In the book of James it reads, “Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles!” It would be wise to be cautious of the potential damage you could create today with the wrong use of your tongue/.
