When you have to sneeze do you hold it in? A man in Dundee Scotland tore a hole in his windpipe by pinching his nose and keeping his mouth shut during a sneezing episode. Such a result is a rare occurrence, but it can happen. Did you know the Bible says there are times that it is wise to hold back? This has no reference to sneezing but rather responding. In the book of Proverbs it reads, “A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.” Unfortunately we have a lot of opportunities to apply this wisdom. The next time you feel like responding with something harsh, hold it back and instead give a soft answer and change the dynamic of the conversation.
