Did you know Jesus shared an essential quality that is necessary in order to experience success in experiencing eternal life? In the book of Matthew He says, “blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs in the kingdom of heaven.” Being poor in spirit speaks of one whom recognizes they are not able to obtain heaven due to his/her own efforts but rather through faith in Jesus Christ and what He did to provide provision for sin resulting in a changed life.
