September 10 Time Sensitive

Do you think it matters what time during the day to exercise? Apparently exercising first thing in the morning is most beneficial for physical health. Actually, according to research published by CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey early morning may be the best time for weight loss. The ideal time seems to be between 7 and 9 am. Who would of thought that exercising is time sensitive? Did you know that in the Bible salvation is time sensitive. In the book of 2 Corinthians chapter six it reads, “Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

September 8 Ponder

If you were to look up synonyms for the word ponder you would find such words as meditate, contemplate, reflect. Sometimes we need to be told to stop and consider what is really satisfies. In the Bible it reads, “thus says the LORD of hosts: “Consider your ways! “You have sown much, and bring in little; You eat, but do not have enough; You drink, but you are not filled with drink; You clothe yourselves, but no one is warm; And he who earns wages, Earns wages to put into a bag with holes.” The bible also gives direction on where to find real satisfaction. Jesus shares this in the book of John, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

September 5 Walking

When you go walking do you ever walk backwards? If not it might be something you should consider. CBC news put out an article entitled, “walking backwards might look a little weird but it could be just the exercise you need. Apparently when you start to walk backwards you rebalance the forces around the ankle, knee, hip, and lower back. It is believed to help with the physical changes of getting older so don’t be too surprized if you see someone walking backwards. Did you know the Bible has insight for followers of Jesus Christ in relation to ones walk that seems out of the norm but it is in reference to a spiritual nature. 2 Corinthians 5:7 reads, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

September 3 Hurricane Season

With it being September, we are in the peak time for hurricane season. Something that helps limit the effects of a hurricane is for people to act wisely. According to the Red Cross, one of the most important things anyone can do when in a hurricane is to ensure they have appropriate shelter. With the proper shelter, while the storm may be raging, a person remains save inside. In the Bible, there is instruction for a person to seek shelter in relation to the storms of life. It speaks of a shelter that is readily available through experiencing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ. In Psalms 46:1 it reads, “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

September 1 New Start

September presents a new start to students. A new school year presents an opportunity to do well, learn, prepare for the future and to make new friends. It is exciting and beneficial to look ahead with anticipation! In the Bible, in the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 9 the apostle Paul encourages all those whom have embraced Jesus Christ as their Saviour to look ahead. Not only to look ahead but also be prepared to experience what is beyond what their minds can comprehend. It reads, “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

August 27 Satisfaction

Did you know the bible speaks a lot about satisfaction? We are encouraged to pursue the greatest means of satisfaction which is God himself. In John 6:35 Jesus said, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge is someone who has experience with both riches and fame and he was asked recently about what satisfies. He responded by saying, “Our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He’s given me this platform, this ability. The fame, getting the chance to do this is great and all, but it’s not fulfilling as much as the relationship I have with Him. Do you know of the satisfaction that can be found in Jesus?

August 25 Juice Jacking

Have you ever heard of juice jacking? It has nothing to do with stealing juice but rather something that is much more valuable. Your personal information. Juice jacking happens when you plug your phone into a public charging cable or socket at an airport or hotel and although what you plug into looks like a charger it is actually a tiny computer that is extracting your personal information and being stolen by a thief. Did you know in the Bible Jesus warns us about a very particular thief. In John 10:10 Jesus says, The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Eating Dairy late at night increases the frequency of pleasant dreams as well as nightmares. It is important to realize that if you find yourself dreaming a lot that eating dairy is time sensitive. August 20 Tides

The ocean is beautiful to look at especially in the summer in Atlantic Canada. The tides present various views depending on how much coverage the water has. There are two high and two low tides every 24 hours and 50 minutes. High tides occur 12 hours and 25 minutes apart. It takes six hours and 12.5 minutes for the water at the shore to go from high to low, or from low to high. They tides are constantly changing. Did you know the Bible teaches regarding the degree in which God changes. In the book of Malachi it reads, For I am the LORD, I do not change. In the book of Hebrews it reads, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
