With car theft at an all time high in Toronto police are giving residents more and more tips to protect them from thieves. Some tips noted in a recent ctv article included parking vehicles inside of the garage, keeping your driveway brightly lit, installing a home security system as well as refraining from posting when away on vacation online. Apparently is pays to be diligent when it comes to protecting yourself against thieves. Did you know in the Bible Jesus tells people to be on the outlook for a particular thief? John 10:10 reads, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Recently on a flight to Thailand the pilot of the plane was made aware that there was a woman on the plane that was in labor and close to having a baby. The pilot ended up successfully delivering the baby while in flight. It was a unique birth. Did you know the Bible teaches of a unique birth that we all have to have in order to experience heaven? Jesus said in John 3:3 that, “most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” We are also told of a gift we receive in relation to this new birth. This new birth which is made possible by trusting in Jesus Christ as ones Savior. In Romans 6:23 it reads, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

CTV news put out an article entitled, “personality changes, confusion could be signs your liver is failing.” The reality is many people do not make a connection with confusion and the possibility of their liver failing. Did you know the Bible gives guidance when followers of Jesus Christ are confused about hardships they are facing. It reads, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. A person is not to have joy because of the trial but rather they are to have joy knowing that God is looking to do a work in their lives through the trial.

Recently CTV news shared an article noting how Ontario’s top doctor issued a warning to public health units saying they should prepare for more cases and “potential outbreaks” of measles. It was noted in the article how measles is probably the most transferrable infection on the planet. Did you know the Bible identifies something humanity has been infected with that has a 100 percent infection rate? In the Bible in the book of Romans it reads, “Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned”. Just recently Apple put out a post addressing what not to do if your phone gets exposed to too much water. What the company said not to do is put your phone in rice to dry it out. Doing so is a misconception and can do more harm than good. Did you know there is a common misconception when it comes to getting right with God. It goes with the idea of being, quote, “a good person”. The bible actually teaches against this by declaring in the book of Romans that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. It also say in that same book that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

How much coffee do you drink a day? CTV news put out an article recently sharing concerns a person should have about possible coffee intoxication. The article noted that while everyone’s tolerance is different there is a limit to how much coffee a person can have in their system. A maximum for the average adult should be four or five cups a day. Did you know the Bible speaks about something that followers of Jesus Christ can never have too much of? The rich and famous from around the world are invited. There is an awesome invitation that God has extended and it is not limited to the rich and famous but it includes everyone.
