Recently I read something that seemed like a scene from a horror movie. But it was a very real and horrifying experience for Treina Reykdal. She was awakened by a bat biting her lip. Later testing revealed the creature was rabid, so subsequently, the family and pets receive rabies shots for 28 days. Fortuntely there was treatment available for such a mishap. And did you know that there is a cure available for the universal disease of sin? The truth is that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. But Jesus provided the cure for that disease at Calvary. Of that life-changing event, we read, “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, …might live…” Though original sin is denied by many, there is a world of evidence that every single person, even the best of us, has been born with a natural tendency to do wrong and we all need a Saviour. Jesus is that Saviour who invites us to come to Him for forgiveness.
