Actress Shirley Temple April 14, 2017

Shirley Temple was a much-loved American film and television actress, singer and diplomat, and child star in the 1930s. Though a success on many fronts, she said that her greatest role was as a wife, mother and grandmother. She once said” there’s nothing like love, real love, nothing!” How true. And there’s no love on earth as great as God’s love. He loved so much that He gave His only Son, Jesus, to provide forgiveness and cleansing to all who sincerely ask. John, in his gospel wrote, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” Or, as the gospel song says, “The love of God is greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell. It goes beyond the highest star and reaches to the lowest hell.” Shirley Temple was right- there’s nothing like love. But especially God’s love.
