Charles Krauthammer, Pulitzer Prize winner, psychiatrist and best-selling author died last month at the age of 68. He once said, “You don’t want to talk in high falutin, ridiculous abstractions that nobody understands. Just make things plain and simple.” Jesus was plain and simple when He said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” The Apostle Paul was plain and simple when he said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.” Author and comedian Mark Twain is believed to have said, “It ain’t those parts of the Bible that I can’t understand that bother me, it is the parts that I do understand.” An honest recognition of what God, in His Word is saying to us should lead us to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Please think about that today.
