Vincent Torro, 34 and Louise Heath, 26, may have achieved the world’s longest kiss. It lasted 96 hours and thirty-two minutes. But as remarkable as it was, it was not history’s longest or greatest kiss. The Psalmist in the Bible was inspired to write of that which took place at Calvary, when Christ died for our sins. His words were, “Mercy and truth have met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.” He referred to a kiss which took place when Christ died for the sins of the world. It brought face to face, the truth of our sinful nature and spiritual depravity and the mercy of God. With that kiss, Christ took our place, became our substitute and paid our debt. What a kiss! No doubt Vincent Torro and Louise Heath felt the effects of their long kiss, but the world will forever feel the affects of the kiss of Christ. I Have allowed it to alter my life. Have you?
