In Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, a man saw a meterman nearing another person’s parked car with an expired meter. He sprinted ahead and popped some money into the meter. It was his good deed for the day. This act was seen by some as a picture of the biblical teaching of law and grace. Because we have all broken God’s law, and since “the wages of sin is death”, His holiness demands a response on our part. But we are incapable of satisfying God’s justice. Thankfully, the love of the heavenly Father provides that satisfaction.
