“Don’t follow me, I’m lost.” Those words were seen on the back of a car. The word “lost” can mean not knowing where we are, or perhaps lost at sea. Jesus used the word to describe our spiritual condition. He said, “The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” When we are trying to “find ourselves,” it is very important not to follow every voice we hear. Some invite us to try to work our way to heaven, others tell us that at death, that is all, there is no after life. But God’s Word, the Bible, says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” For spiritually lost people, Jesus is “the way, the truth and the life.” He said no one comes to the Father except through Him.
