Patrick Moore was a distinguished astronomer, knighted by the Queen, the author of more than 30 books on astronomy. In A Guide to the Planets, he wrote that the earth “…is the only world in the solar system upon which we could survive.” Why did he say that? Well, if the earth were smaller or larger in diameter by as little as ten percent, no life could exist. For the earth to be habitable, it needs an adequate supply of light and heat, a uniform distribution of water and an atmosphere of proper composition. Our planet has all three. How come? Millions of giant accidents? The first verse in the Bible, explains clearly. “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
