Recently, meteorologist Cindy Day, speaking of growing up on her grandmother’s farm, wrote, “Regardless of when we thought it was time to cut the hay or harvest the corn, nature decided for us. Seasons came and left, everything got done, but not necessarily on our schedule.” It is good for us to be reminded that “God changes times and seasons, removed and sets up kinds, gives wisdom and knowledge.” Some see man at the center of all things, but the Bible reassures us that “many are the plans in the eyes of man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” How wonderful it is that God not only controls our world, but Jesus loves us and offers us salvation through His Son Jesus. All we need to do is ask.
