In an article put out recently by IE/Investment Executive the results of a survey were given in which it was revealed that the three most prominent topics addressed between an investor and their advisor are retirement planning, overall health and well being, and inheritance planning. I want to share with you a financial plan from the Bible in which a man named Agur shares his financial concerns in the form of a prayer. Proverbs 30: 7-9 reads, “Two things I request of You (Deprive me not before I die): Remove falsehood and lies far from me; Give me neither poverty nor riches— Feed me with the food allotted to me; Lest I be full and deny You, And say, “Who is the LORD?” Or lest I be poor and steal, And profane the name of my God.
