Last month an exhibition about the future of labor opened at a Danish art museum. There was one exhibit that gained a lot of attention and it was not for the beauty of the art but rather the absence of it. The artist decided, to the dismay of the exhibition, to take a payment of $84000 US dollars in order to hang two empty frames and call them conceptual pieces. It ended up being a lot for nothing. Did you know some people view salvation as pictured in the bible as a lot for nothing? Experiencing a more abundant life now and the assurance of heaven in the future all at no cost. The reality is this could not be further from the truth. Salvation is a gift but it came at a great cost to the given. 2 Corinthians 5:21 reads, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
