Recently the volleyball known by the name “Wilson” that was used as a prop on the film Castaway starring Tom Hanks sold at an auction for a staggering $308,000. In the film Wilson was essentially garbage on a deserted island that became the main characters best friend. Did you know in the Bible there is garbage that we are not to have any sort of connection with but so many do? It is in relation to self-righteousness and it is found in the book of Isaiah 64:6 in which it is written, “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags;. Thankfully, in the book of John, Jesus identifies where true righteous can be found by saying, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
