Recently an immediate evacuation notice from the Emergency Alert System interrupted regular TV programming in the Los Angeles area telling the entirety of the L.A. County to evacuate due to a fire. This obviously created a great deal of panic but it was sent in error over a dozen times before the mistake was identified. Did you know there is a warning presented in the Bible that has been read literally millions of times but in this case, there is no mistake? In the book of Romans it reads, “for the wages of sin is death”. Death meaning future separation from God. That is the warning but thankfully that same verse presents a sure way of escape, “but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
