An Irish beach that was washed away, has reappeared over three decades later. The beach, near Dough village on Achill Island, originally sustained hotels and guest houses, before its mysterious disappearance. And often in life, storms rip the beauty from our lives and leave us empty and broken. The Psalmist refers to those in such a condition, writing, “their heart is melted because of trouble. They reel to and fro and stagger like a drunken man and are at their wit’s end. Then they cry out to the Lord, and he brings them out of their distresses.” When we recognize our fallen sinful nature, invite the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive us and make us His children, we receive the peace and joy that only He can give. He promises, us all, “Call unto me and I will answer you.”
