According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving or MADD, on average, approximately four people are killed each day in crashes involving alcohol and/or drugs, and surviving family members are left with a lifetime of pain. In some cases, drunk drivers with rich families receive reduced time in jail. But God does not minimize our wrong-doing. He tells us “There is none righteous, no not one.” And to those who think they have gotten away with hurting innocent people, He says, “Be sure your sin will find you out.” He is a God of holiness, but also a God of grace who “… demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” When we repent and ask His forgiveness, He assures us, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
