A while back it was reported that a small shark was found flopping around on the 12th tee of the San Juan Hills Golf Club in California. It had dropped from the sky and had puncture marks where it appeared that a bird of prey had snagged it from the Pacific Ocean, about five miles away. The small leopard shark was rushed to the ocean, where it speedily swam away to freedom. Talk about a second chance. The ultimate giver of second chances is God, our Heavenly Father. No matter how many times we fail, God is willing to forgive us and give us a second chance. Perhaps you have really messed up your life and feel that it is not worth living. Please listen. Our kind and loving Saviour promises, “Come unto me all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
