It is believed that Ponce De Leon went to Florida in the 1500s searching for a spring having the power to restore youth. Dr. Phillip Minton, of Stanford University, claimed in his book, “The Immortality Enzyme,” that soon there will be an enzyme on the market to fight against cancer and heart disease. We are seeing remarkable advances in adding years to the average life. But though we cannot achieve immortality on our own, it is freely available. Jesus promised, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, yet he shall live.” On our own, we cannot achieve the goal of endless physical life. But receiving eternal life can happen when we believe what the Bible teaches. Paul explained how we are to believe when he wrote, “with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Are you going to live forever?
