Message in a Bottle August 31, 2018

A message in a bottle, apparently from Nova Scotia has made its way to the shoreline of Croatia. In 28 years it has passed through the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean and Adriatic seas. It was a letter from Jonathan to Mary, expressing the wish that they would keep in touch. That surely gives a new meaning to snail mail. However, there is a more direct message available to us all. It is the Bible, God’s inspired Word. It gives us direct communication from God to man. Its wonderful message can be summed up in two verses—John chapter three verses sixteen and seventeen. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Get the message? I hope you’ll think seriously about that today.
