A huge diamond, unearthed in Botswana, brought an incredible price of 26.7 million dollars. It was the highest price for the largest flawless diamond ever offered up to the time of the auction. But when Christ died on the cross of Calvary, He paid a larger price for a greater prize. He gave His life for the potential salvation of every person who ever lived. Paul eloquently described this purchase as follows. “For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might be rich.” What God offers is of greater value than any diamond. It is the gift of living with God forever. He does not force it upon us; we need to reach out to Him for this priceless gift. Acceptance for those who humbly, sincerely call is guaranteed, because Jesus said, “Him (or her) who comes to me I will in no way cast out.”
