“It’s never too late to quit smoking,” according to Dr. Peter Selby. He notes that many smokers who make resolutions to butt out for good see the deadline come and go, but he said that National No Smoking Week and “Weedless Wednesday” offer encouraging reminders. He is right. In other areas of life as well, it is never too late to make a change in our lives. Perhaps you have good intentions to turn your life over to God and begin again. Paul wrote in the New Testament, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.” That’s what it means to be spiritually reborn. Quitting smoking is never too late, and turning to God is never too late.
