In Canada Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October. In the United States it is the fourth Thursday in November. Regardless of whether you live in Canada or in the US it is focused around food and being thankful. Did you know that in the Bible, that for those who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation, the season of Thanksgiving gets extended beyond October or November. In the book of Thessalonians it reads, “in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” That which an individual is to be thankful for is not necessarily what has happened because sometimes negative things happen such as a loss of a job or health decline. What an individual is to be thankful for is that God desires to do a work in their lives through what has happened.
