“Our postmodern culture has done a number on the idea of truth. It teaches …there is no such thing as absolute truth ” Those are the words of David Limbaugh in his foreword to the book I Don’t Have Enough Faith To Be an Atheist. Those who believe in subjective truth as opposed to objective truth are forced to admit if you are blind, you can conclude that there is no such thing as a moon and If you are deaf, you can conclude there is no such thing as the song of a bird. So, if we cannot see God, we can conclude there is no God. But there is a moon, and birds do sing and there is a God as described in the Bible. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” When we humbly acknowledge our spiritual bankruptcy and receive Christ as Saviour, we experience Jesus’ promise, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.”
