Our world is in moral and spiritual chaos. Author Dr Timothy LaHaye, producer of the movie Left Behind” , believed the cause to be a popular philosophy known as secular humanism. It defines itself as “a religious worldview based on atheism, naturalism, evolution and ethical relativism…” Its followers believe that man is basically good, and God is unnecessary. The print and other media, governments and educators promote secular humanism, which is anti-Christian and sympathetic to an immoral lifestyle. Methodist Bishop Dr John R. Moore captured the essence of this philosophy, writing, “We have humanized God, deified man and minimized sin.” Secular humanism denies Jesus’ own words, “…out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies…these defile the man…” The only response is for individuals to turn back to the Bible, God, and Christ.
