“Wouldn’t you like to touch me? I just shook hands with a movie star,” the clerk blurted out. Mentioning his name, she continued, “He passed through this very line a few minutes ago,” What a mixed-up world we live in. People get all excited because they have touched a movie star, while all around us are men and women who have fought for their country, brave fireman and police officers, many bearing the very marks of their bravery in their bodies. Sadly, too often they are un-noticed and ignored. But the greatest hero of all time is the Lord Jesus Christ. In eternity past, Jesus, seeing into the future and the reality of our fallen race, may have said to the Father, “I will go.” Later Paul was inspired to write, “When the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth His son…to redeem.” The rest is history.
